Don Lyle Peters

Don Lyle Peters (Lyle), of Rock Creek WV, age 88, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on November 5, 2025. He was surrounded by his loving family. Born on June 12, 1937 to Don and Mamie Peters, Lyle was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, son and brother. He proudly served his country as a United States Marine, was active in his community with Little League Baseball as League President and Coach, and was blessed to volunteer as a patient transporter for the Beckley VA. He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years Nelta Marshall, daughters Terri Walker (David), Susan Shields (Mike), and Steven Peters (Tina), stepchildren Beverly, Pam, Kelly and Kenny, grandchildren Traci Goode (Kevin), Garrett Prince, Amanda Prince, Matthew Peters (Abby), Cameron Shields, Faith Shields and Brody Shields. Great grandchildren Skyler, Brentley and Peyton. Sister Sharon Turner and special brother-in-law Mike Lipford. The family will have a private graveside service to be held on a later date at Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley, WV. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be sent to Bowers Hospice Care, 454 Cranberry Drive, Beckley, WV 25801.
