Benny Lee “Popeye” White, 95, of Dorothy, WV; after a long illness, he went home to be with the Lord at home on November 5, 2025. He was born on November 4, 1930 the son of the late Meredith White and Ludie Stanley White, He was preceded by his loving wife of 66 years, Agnes June “Allen” White; a daughter, Peggy White “Randy Stover”; a son Wally “Brenda” White, son-in-law, Jimmy Austin; a grandson, David Lee White; a great grandson, Trenton Jamie “TJ” Platt; he had five brothers, Bruce, Jimmy, Shelby, Simon, Randy and two sisters, Lucille and Margaret. He leaves behind two sons, Ricky “Pam” White, Hotrod “Kathy” White and one daughter, Vicky Austin, and a nephew whom he loved very much like a son, anytime he called, he was always there JP Florentz; one brother, John David, and Alice of Virginia; 11 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 15 great great-grandchildren, he leaves behind a host of nephews, nieces, and many friends. He will be missed greatly. He was a member of Dorothy Church of God and Sunday School Superintendent for 60 plus years. He was a member of the UMWA, worked for Peabody Coal, worked at Sundial Temple, and drove a coal truck for many years. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon November 8, 2025, at two o’clock in the Sycamore Free Pentecostal Church Sycamore, WV with Pastor Jerry Tyree, Scotty Stanley, and Mike Duncan officiating. Interment will follow in the Estep Cemetery Ameagle, WV. The visitation will be two hours before the service. His six grandsons will serve as Pallbearers.
